Chinese dramas on Youku

Youku is one of China's major streaming platforms, owned by Alibaba. Its international service, available as the Youku app and at youku.tv, carries many of Youku's own dramas for viewers outside mainland China.

Access follows the free-plus-VIP model. When we checked youku.tv from the US in October 2026, Hidden Love had episode 1 free and the rest VIP, and Irreplaceable had episodes 1 to 3 free. How many episodes are free varies by show and by country, and our Where to Watch panel lists the access type we found for your region.

Subtitles are official. English was listed on every Youku drama we checked, and a couple of titles add Spanish, Portuguese and Southeast Asian languages.

Youku carries fewer of the dramas we track than iQIYI or WeTV, but it's the official home for several of Youku's own productions. Some Youku dramas are also licensed to Netflix or Viki, and Youku's English YouTube channel has posted the first episode of Hidden Love. If a drama isn't on Youku in your country, our Where to Watch panel lists the other official options we found.
