We haven't watched this one. This section is based on the official synopsis, the published cast list, WeTV's episode listings, and what viewers posted on Weibo after the finale.
This is a short drama by design. Tencent registers it as a "micro drama," and WeTV's episodes run between 11 and 19 minutes, so the whole series is about seven hours, closer to a long weekend than a month. Expect the story to move fast and skip the slow middle that 40-episode fantasy romances often have.
The setup is enemies to allies to lovers. The synopsis has Wangshu and Li Zhi start out wary and hostile, then team up in a straight trade: she keeps his fire under control, and he becomes the weapon she uses against her own family and a scheming prince, Prince Qi. He is the one who has to learn what human love is. The sisters' bond matters too: the official description puts both of them at the center, standing with the dragon against their fate.
Viewers who finished it on Weibo mostly liked the sisters' storyline and a well-loved secondary couple. One called the plot familiar and the effects a little artificial, but said the dragon carries Wangshu's revenge in a satisfying way.
The Story
Yue Wangshu has nothing left to bargain with. Her parents, a general's family, are dead, and her only ally is her elder sister. When the household needs someone to send into the Dragon Abyss as an offering, it picks her. Down there she finds Li Zhi, the Azure Dragon, sealed away and wild, carrying a curse called the Li Fire. Her blood breaks the seal. My Loong (予苍龙) follows the deal they strike next: she helps him hold back the fire, he lends her a dragon's strength against the people who threw her away. Hu Lianxin and Li Wenhan lead this 24-episode Tencent Video fantasy romance, a short-format drama with episodes of about 17 minutes. It streams outside China on WeTV.
Release Notes
My Loong has 24 episodes and was filmed in Hengdian from March 16 to April 11, 2026. Tencent Video premiered it on October 22, 2026, with six episodes for VIP members, then two a day through October 25. From October 26 VIP members got one episode a day. On October 29 at noon Beijing time, Tencent opened a paid unlock for the rest of the series, so the finale is out for viewers who pay extra. Regular VIP members reach episode 24 on November 6, and from November 7 non-members can watch two a day, which finishes around November 18. When we checked from the US on November 3, WeTV listed all 24 episodes: 1 to 21 for VIP members and 22 to 24 as Express early access. Hu Lianxin was previously in Dashing Youth (少年白马醉春风); Li Wenhan was a member of the boy band UNINE.

It's a happy ending, after a scare. To stay with Wangshu, Li Zhi gives up going back to the dragon clan and tears out his protective heart scale. While he's in seclusion, Zhu Heng breaks in on him and he fades from the world. Wangshu saves him with her own heart's blood: he becomes a dragon egg, and years later he comes back and the two are reunited. Tencent opened the finale to paying viewers on October 29, 2026. Since there are no official synopses for the last episodes, this account pieces the ending together from three viewers' recaps on Weibo, which agree with each other, and from clips the drama's official account posted afterward. My Loong is an original script, so there's no novel to check it against.
The revenge plot. Li Zhi's power does most of the work in Wangshu's revenge on the family that sacrificed her. By the end, Wangshu, Li Zhi, her sister Xingyao and the emperor together clear the court of the people working against them.
Li Zhi's choice. Li Zhi could return to the dragon clan. Instead he decides to stay in the human world with Wangshu, and gives up his protective heart scale to do it. He goes into seclusion to make the change hold, but Zhu Heng (朱珩) interrupts him and he dissipates.
The dragon egg. Wangshu gives her heart's blood to bring him back, and he turns into a dragon egg. Years pass before he returns. One viewer's clip shows the comic side of the reunion: everyone finds out he hatched from an egg, he flies off with his wife to escape the teasing, and she keeps teasing him anyway. The official account's posts from the finale show the two at a wedding.
Xingyao. Wangshu's sister first takes a post as an official and later becomes empress. The official account also posted a winter short film of the emperor and empress.
What we don't know. We haven't confirmed which character is the emperor, how long the separation lasts on screen, or what happens to Wangshu's family. We'll fill these in if Tencent publishes synopses or we watch the finale.

What "loong" means
Loong is a spelling some writers use for the Chinese dragon, long (龙), to separate it from the fire-breathing dragon of European stories. A Chinese dragon is a sky and water spirit tied to rain, rivers, and the emperor. It isn't usually a monster to slay. That's why Li Zhi rules "mountains and tides" and why his seal matters to the human world around him.
The Azure Dragon
The Chinese title says Li Zhi is a canglong (苍龙), the Azure Dragon. In Chinese astronomy it's the guardian of the east, one of four symbolic animals with the White Tiger, the Vermilion Bird, and the Black Tortoise. The title 予苍龙 reads roughly as "given to the Azure Dragon," which is exactly what happens to Wangshu.
Brides for river gods
Stories of girls given as "brides" to a river god or dragon to stop floods are old in China. The best known is the tale of Ximen Bao, a Warring States official who ended a river-god bride ritual in Ye. My Loong turns that setup into a romance, with the sacrifice walking out alive.

Is My Loong based on a novel?
No, as far as we can tell. My Loong is credited to screenwriter Shu Ying (疏影), and neither Tencent nor the Baidu Baike entry names a source novel. That makes it an original script, so there's no book to read ahead or to compare the ending with.
