Chinese dramas on MGTV

MGTV, also called Mango TV, is the streaming arm of Hunan Broadcasting, the group behind Hunan TV. Its international app and website bring Mango TV's dramas and variety shows to viewers outside mainland China.

MGTV is best known in China for variety and reality programming, but it also produces and streams a steady run of modern romances, youth dramas and family stories. If a drama premiered on Hunan TV or Mango TV, the international service is often its official home abroad.

Access follows a free-plus-VIP model. When we checked the international site from the US in October 2026, the Mango TV dramas we track ranged from free with ads, like The Lament of Autumn, to a couple of free episodes with the rest VIP, like Glory. The split differs by title and country, and our Where to Watch panel shows what we found for your region.

Subtitles are official, and the international site has English pages for the dramas we track. We couldn't read the subtitle list on every title, so some of our MGTV listings show languages as unknown.

MGTV carries fewer of the dramas we track than the biggest platforms, so it's usually the service you add for a specific show rather than your first C-drama subscription.
